Andrew Pollock
Trainer
Hello, I am Andrew!
I got into strength training and coaching by accident-- that accident was on a snowboard in 2005.
I fractured several discs and was left with chronic pain. Eventually, after working my way through prescription drugs and other conventional treatments, I found some relief in the gym.
Strengthening my back and making myself more resilient has been the biggest help in dealing with my pain and anxiety.
The gym has been not only a place to find physical strength, but also mental and emotional well being.
I've coached dozens of people to transform themselves over the last 5 years, gotten multiple certifications in training and biomechanics, competed and coached in 2 powerlifting competitions, and worked in a physical therapy office for a year.
I love working with those who are new to the gym and may be intimidated. I want to be your biggest supporter in your journey to find health and happiness :)
What do you love most about training?:
"Sharing my love for exercise & self improvement to overcome the hardships life can throw at us, exercise is medicine".
What do you specialize in?:
Functional exercises, posture correction, and strength work with flexibility. It is my goal to help everyone in the gym develop strength through pain free movement. Pain and discomfort are often not the result of an injury, they are the consequence of the body moving in unintended ways.
"We all have different abilities. It's up to each of us to find out what those abilities are and to develop them to their fullest potential".
